Excerpts from a Life

In the old days, my sister Rlynne, Mango and I would listen to the radio and write down the top 100 songs of the year, drink koolaid in wine glasses and eat a lot of junk food. This was the way it was before 1975 anyways, before "I grew up."

Happy New Years to you, my friends. May 2006 be a good one for you.

Let's see, where is the list?

Carol = I know a good many of those songs. Can't believe how long ago it was.

I know it's been a long, long time since I've been to your blog. I shall have to catch up on everything when I can. Hopefully I can get a new post on my own blog one of these days. I'm probably gonna change the format, again, but I feel it's been so long that all the old things I had going on must be scrapped so I can start anew. I'm glad to see that you're still going strong, and I hope that all is well. God bless you in every way.

Hi to everyone in 2006!

Stephen :)

Thanks David for your kind encouragement
but 1975 music
crapola?

Barbara,
What is your favorite?
I think mine is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I liked Elton John.

Cuz!!!
I hope you won't disappear again...

J. Andrew,
Chevy will be back next week!

Sister Celtic,
It sounds like you have a lot to write about.

I like Elton John too.

At Seventeen by Janis Ian really spoke to me then.

I love this part from Wildfire - "She ran calling Wi-i-i-i-i-i-ld-fi-i-re"

I love singing Mandy - I think Barry Manilow is underrated.

Love Cat's in the Cradle too - it's fun to sing and has a good message.

Only Yesterday by The Carpenters. I chose a Carpenters song to go get done at our wedding - One Hand, One Heart. I really like their songs too.

I am now experiencing the pangs of nostlagia. Those were the best New year`s eve parties I ever went to!

"Here's to a good one, Dani_elle," as I raise a glass of the cherry flavor!

Barbara,
I thought Barry Manilow was great. I heard him on tv singing "Could It Be Magic" once and was very impressed by his emotion.

Mango,
They certainly were...
