Envious

Yes, I am feeling a little green as three of my blog buddies have broken out of their blogger templates and are now delighting in their new found beauty.

Its all about content, its all about content...

Go check out Jennifer , Barbara and Stephen's new look!

If anyone has advice to give me on achieving template savvy, let me know. ie web sites on making your own templates or pre-designed ones etc.

OK, I'm insecure 'n stuff, but what do you make of the new template I am using? I just got bored and found another template to upload. It helped me face cleaning house, as I now have to re-do my links list.

A faux pas, on my part, Stephen.
I like the symbolism of the bench on the edge.
I hope I still make the link list.

Carol - Try this website, I think I found it via stephen's blog last night.

Thanks for the compliment. I'll help you anyway I can. (I'm still a beginner)

Hi Barbara,
I think I will have a look around at what templates are offered out there, and see if one clicks.
Thanks for your offer of support. I might need it.

As another person with template envy, I'll be checking back to see if you did it! And how!

I like the confidence you have in me, Patry. I should have a before and after picture.
Nice to meet you,BTW!

I did my own template after reading your post. It was not a fast and easy thing to do.

If you can find a quick and easy way to do a new blog template as some of your friends have done, consult with them. You don't want to hack the thing from scratch like I did.

For my first one, I had the revered k8 to help me. I did re-do my photo-blog on my own, but it still isn't right so I will keep working on it.
I have no tips. I am still winging it as I go. I have no idea how to explain it ao anyone else.
I'll keep watching this space. I know you can do it!

Oh, and I'm not so swoof on content lately. That's why I am shooting for beauty now ;)

L'Envoi,
That hard, huh...

Jennifer,
Funny girl!

Carol,

The degree of difficulties on doing a blog template is relative to the person's programming experience. I am no stranger to creating websites. It's the cosmetics that took up most of my last evening. I still don't like the looks of my new blog template.

After a 24-hour cooling period, I decided it's not worth my time to maintain several websites. I just as soon keep doing blogging and not get wrapped up with another pretty face. Haha.

As of my writing this post, I have already reverted back to my old blog template.

The bottom of my blog has some good links if you're looking to learn some HTML.

L'Envoi,
I have no experience with creating my own webpage from scratch.

Moira,
That's a great long list,thanks!

Carol, be sure to save your current template before playing around. There may be elements you want to bring across, or your new layout may have problems.

Carol said...

Thanks Moira,
I try to keep an updated template saved.
I found one from your list I like. I can't wait to try!
I'll let everyone know how it is going or if it is going at all.
