I just found out that my Grandmother, whom we stayed with when we went on holidays, has cancer. I noticed that her color wasn't right but she didn't complain of any pain or discomfort. Her daughter took her to the doctor the day after we left.
I am feeling Grief for I probably won't be seeing her alive again but abundant Gratitude for the we got to spend together this summer. My sister said that it was God's timing.
Amen

It is a blessing that you saw her when you did. Cancer can be a hard attack but chemo can keep it at bay for a long time.
I'm so sorry. This reminds me all too much of my aunt that pasted from cancer and recently a friend. I'm glad you got to spend time, as Pearl has said. I hope treatment will help. In the mean, send your grandma pictures and poems with your love and affection. I'd start a memory book...of the good times you shared, etc. Hope that your grandma lives for a long while.
