I am amazed by the courage and openness to sing in front of the whole country, discovering who they are by the process.

"I want to be a drama queen!"
performing each moment from the depths
of no despair

I'm not thinking just of "Idol," but of performing in general. For some of us, it's one of the best feelings in the world. Even when it's frightening, it's so compelling that it's almost irresistible. I wonder if it's like that for the Idol contestants?

I am sure it is.

Didn't know there was a Canadian Idol. Love AI. I'm fairly outgoing but performing gives me the willies.

Hi Pat,
I don't know Al but we are down to the top 10 here.

In my mind I think I could do it, but in reality, I would freeze on the spot, then run from the stage in a ball of tears.

I knew of the Idols from World Idol shown on TV last year.

Singapore Idol is down to 11 as today they battle it out again discovering themselves as singers and entertainers.

This will be Singapore's second Idol.

Sure is, takes lots of guts and yes... talent, especially.

Are you watching the Canadians?

Hi Imran,
It would certainly takes both.
