"I'm not good enough"
so I place myself behind a screened door
a traced outline
blurred face
I am only an idea
perhaps a nice one
friendly but sparkly dark
eager to feel the good
Then, I see faces
pressed against the screen
fingers tracing an image
against the darkness, wondering who is?
Did you write that or is that such a common poem that you thought every one would recognize it so you didnt put an author? Did I miss out on something because this is good! I really like it.

ReplyDeleteThe Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Getting to Know You" from The King and I has been uploaded. Click on this link:
L'Envoi Music Selection will take you to the song.
This song was sung by Constance Towers in the 1977 Broadway The King and I (with Yul Brynner as the King).
I will keep this song on-line through the 16th, Friday. If you want to have it available longer, please let me know. It's no bother at all. :)
Let's sing along with Carol!
Thank you,L'Envoi.
ReplyDelete'til Sept 16th will do fine!
